Hi, we are Lisa Mockler and Sean Taylor.

We have been designing exquisite homes from our offices in Fairfield County, Connecticut since we started our business in 1999.  We strongly believe that exemplary Architecture provides not only physical shelter but also psychological sanctuary that influences, and participates in, how we experience the world around us.  Much like a well-tailored outfit has an effect on the way you feel and experience the world, the design quality of your environment is integral to your quality of life, especially your home.  We provide high-end design services in both Architecture and Interior Design to help our clients design well-conceived spaces with beautiful proportions, well-executed buildings with rigorous detailing and exceptional materials and well-choreographed homes that reflect the specific site characteristics and the specific life-patterns of those that live in them.  And we like to have fun as well!

Our work encompasses new homes and additions / renovations.  Although we have done work throughout the United States, (we have designed homes as far away as California) the majority of our work is in the Northeast - specifically Fairfield and Litchfield counties in Connecticut and Westchester county in New York.

Lisa Mockler Taylor grew up in Westport, Connecticut and has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Rhode Island School of Design.   She has worked at top-tier residential Architecture firms in Greenwich, Connecticut since the early 90's prior to starting Lisa Mockler Architects, LLC which transitioned into Mockler Taylor Architects, LLC.  Lisa is a licensed Architect as well as a licensed Interior Designer.

Sean Taylor grew up in Northern California.  He arrived in Greenwich, CT in 1996 by way of Clemson University where he earned a Master of Architecture degree.  He has worked in Connecticut designing high-end homes for his entire professional career and joined Lisa to form Mockler Taylor Architects, LLC in early 2001.

Although Lisa and Sean both said that they would never marry an architect, they both have broken that credo.  To date we have two kids, two cats and five chickens.
